Job Description & Summary
About the role
Media & Entertainment businesses are facing increasing pressure to adapt amid economic volatility, geopolitical uncertainty, technological developments, and intensifying competition. In response to growing client demand, we are expanding our Strategy& Operation team’s presence across the UK, with a focus on TMT and particularly in Media & Entertainment.
As a Senior Manager, you will work with a diverse range of TMT clients, with a particular focus on businesses operating in Media, alongside leading practitioners across PwC, primarily within Deals. You will play a critical role across the end-to-end operations improvement lifecycle - from diagnosing performance issues and identifying value opportunities, through to supporting and leading implementation.
This is a delivery-focused role. You will be expected to take ownership of workstreams, manage stakeholders, and ensure tangible, quantifiable benefits are realised for our clients. We pride ourselves on being a trusted, hands-on delivery partner, not just an advisory voice.
Key responsibilities
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, including senior client executives, providing sector and functional insight to operational transformation and value creation programmes
- Analyse complex financial and operational information to develop clear, actionable recommendations
- Conduct market, operational, and client analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities
- Perform cash flow and liquidity analysis, financial baselining, sensitivity analysis, and forecast reviews
- Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and reports for senior stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and colleagues across the Firm while leading, coaching, and developing junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture
- Support marketing, business development, and proposition development activities across our TMT sector and leverage PwC’s broader capabilities to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions for clients
- Oversee project economics, governance, and delivery quality

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
