B-Better Dance Education Company
B-Better is a London-based dance education company, specialising in Street Styles primarily teaching in schools. We are expanding our dance education provision and are looking for skilled, vibrant dance teachers to join our team.
Professional performance credits are welcome but are not required. We are considerably more interested in your ability to teach, communicate, manage a group, and share the culture of your chosen dance style accurately.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
- Be confident in at least 1 Hip Hop, Funk, or Club dance style (e.g., Hip Hop, Breaking, Locking, Lite Feet, Hustle, etc.). Dance styles that fall outside of this description, but are energetically similar to those listed, will be considered (e.g., Shaku Shaku, Pantsula, etc.).
- Be based in the UK and have the right to work. London and surrounding counties are preferred.
- Have at least 1 year's experience teaching under 18s.

Responsibilities
Applicants must be:
- Able to demonstrate technique and communicate historical and cultural references, not only teach choreography.
- Happy to teach under 18s and hold an enhanced DBS.
- Willing to undertake teacher training a few times per year.
- Able to work autonomously, create comprehensible lesson plans, and uphold high teaching standards, without supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and communicative.
- Able to manage a classroom of different ability students and create the best environment for learning.
- Willing to create occasional reports of student progress.

Pay
Our classes start at £40 per hour.
