This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Council's Street Works Team within the Highways section.
About The Role
The purpose of the role is to carry out a comprehensive Street Works Inspection function including:
- Undertaking regular inspections of street works to ensure they are carried out in line with statutory obligations
- Monitor and record compliance with NRSWA, Codes of Practice and Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways
- You will also be required to provide cover as necessary on Highway Safety Inspections.
Experience / Skills Required:
- Although previous experience as a Street Works Inspector is desirable it is not essential as training will be provided.
- You should have experience in the construction industry including proven experience of dealing with traffic management issues and reinstatement specifications.
- You should have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and a high level of computer literacy as well as effective communication skills.
- You will also need to have knowledge and experience of Health and Safety working on the Highway.
