Are you looking for a role where you can make a real impact on the day-to-day movement of people and traffic across Gateshead? We are seeking a proactive and organised Street Works Permit Support Officer to join our team and play a key role in managing and coordinating works on the borough's highway network.

  • Working closely with utility companies, contractors, neighbouring authorities and internal teams, you'll help ensure that street works are planned and coordinated effectively, minimising disruption to residents, businesses and road users.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in highways or street works who enjoys problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
