Company Description
JTS Solutions Ltd is a fast-paced and growing utilities consultancy and operational support business based in Hooton, Cheshire. We work closely with major utility companies and delivery partners across the UK, providing experienced people and practical support across planning, streetworks, traffic management, operational performance and business improvement.
As the business continues to grow, we are building a strong team of people who are comfortable working in busy operational environments, taking ownership and helping solve problems quickly. Our teams work directly alongside client operations, helping manage work programmes, improve planning and delivery, strengthen operational controls and provide clear visibility of performance.
Much of our work sits within live utility operations where priorities can change quickly and good communication between planning teams, field teams, contractors, Highway Authorities and clients is essential. JTS has grown by bringing together people with strong utilities experience who understand how work is planned, promoted, delivered and closed in the real world. We place a strong emphasis on teamwork, accountability and getting the basics right — safe delivery, good planning, accurate information and strong client service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
