Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Streetworks Coordinator
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Streetworks coordinator to join our busy Street Works team. The post holder would be responsible for managing and processing Streetworks Permit applications and to coordinate road and street works to keep the City of York moving and the highway users safe.
You will need to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of relevant legislation, including New Roads & Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act, and Highways Act, in particular how this controls and impacts the undertaking of activities on the highway.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process Streetworks Permit applications.
- Coordinate road and street works to keep the City of York moving and the highway users safe.
- Work in a Network Management environment to tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with a range of teams and stakeholders.
- Make decisions and work independently to manage your own varied workload.

Requirements:
- Comfortable working at pace with competing demands and deadlines.
- Extensive experience in a Network Management environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both over the phone and in writing to internal and external stakeholders, customers, and residents.
- CEFR level C1 competency in spoken English for public-facing duties.
