Role Description
The Streetworks Planner/Scheduler is a full-time, on-site role based in Sandy, responsible for planning and coordinating streetworks activities for utility projects. Day-to-day tasks include:

The role involves liaising with internal teams, contractors, and clients to confirm job readiness, allocate resources, and minimise disruption to the public. The planner/scheduler will:
- Update and maintain planning systems
- Track job progress
- Produce reports to support operational and regulatory obligations
This position also requires proactive problem-solving, prioritising urgent works, and maintaining accurate documentation to support efficient project delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience in streetworks planning or scheduling, ideally within utilities (water, gas, electricity) or civil engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of UK streetworks regulations, permits, and NRSWA/TMA requirements; relevant streetworks accreditation is an advantage.
- Proficiency with scheduling, planning, and permit management systems; confident use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs, deadlines, and priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with operational teams, contractors, and clients.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to record-keeping, data entry, and compliance documentation.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under time pressure, particularly for urgent or emergency works.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in streetworks or utilities; commitment to safe and compliant working methods.
- Previous experience in a planning, coordination, or operations support role in the utilities or construction sector is highly beneficial.
- Relevant vocational qualification or training in utilities, streetworks, or project coordination preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
