Streetworks Technician Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Streetworks Technician within the Streetworks team of the Highways Technical Services Section.
Requirements
- Hold Streetworks Accreditation or be willing to attain it within 12 months of appointment
- Knowledge of the New Roads and Streetworks Act
Responsibilities
- Provide an effective, efficient, responsive and high quality Streetworks Services
- Assist in ensuring that the Authority's duties under the New Roads and Streetworks Act are properly discharged
- Responsible for the receipt and monitoring of incoming works from statutory undertakers and internal Council departments
- Assist the Streetworks Engineer in the co-ordination of formal notices received from statutory undertakers and private individuals
Location
- Permanent full-time position based at the Council’s newly constructed, modern headquarters in the centre of Pontypridd
- Benefiting from the services and facilities of the town centre, nearby public parking, and excellent public transport links to Cardiff and the surrounding Valleys area

Working Arrangement
- Hybrid working arrangement is in place with staff able to work from both home and the office
- Employment hours are 37 hours a week, under the flexible working hours scheme
- 26 days holiday each year increasing to 31 upon 5 years of completed service (in addition to 8 public holidays)
