Strength & Conditioning Coach
The Pure Practice | Bath
An opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team where rehabilitation meets performance. The Pure Practice is an independent private physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic in Bath. We work with a wide range of people; from those recovering from injury or surgery, through to recreational exercisers and competitive athletes; helping them build confidence, strength and resilience for the long term. Strength & Conditioning is an important part of that journey, providing the bridge between clinical rehabilitation and a return to full activity, sport and performance.
The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and collaborative Strength & Conditioning Coach to work alongside our team of physiotherapists, sports rehabilitators and sports medicine and orthopaedic specialists. You will work with clients at different stages of their journey, from rebuilding strength following injury through to developing performance, physical capacity and resilience. We are particularly interested in someone who has experience of working within a sports team or performance environment and understands the value of working closely with other healthcare professionals. We would also welcome applications from sports rehabbers with a strong Strength & Conditioning background who are keen to develop their S&C practice within a multidisciplinary environment.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering 1:1 Strength & Conditioning sessions with a varied client group
- Working collaboratively with our physios and sports rehabbers to progress clients from rehab into strength and performance
- Communicating effectively with other healthcare professionals involved in a client's care
- Developing individualized strength, conditioning and return-to-sport programmes
- Working with recreationally active clients as well as competitive athletes
- Helping clients understand the importance of strength and physical preparation in injury prevention and long-term health
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
