Strength & Conditioning Coach

25–32 Hours per Week | Dependent on Experience

About Perform For Sport

Perform For Sport is one of Suffolk's leading Strength & Conditioning and Sports Rehabilitation facilities, dedicated to helping athletes maximise their performance through evidence-based coaching and long-term athletic development.

Our integrated approach combines Strength & Conditioning, Sports Rehabilitation and Sports Science to support athletes at every stage of their journey—from injury rehabilitation through to high-performance sport.

Through our Athlete Development Programme, education and sporting partnerships, and individual performance services, we work with athletes aged 11+ across a wide range of sports, from grassroots participation through to regional, national and professional pathways.

At Perform For Sport, we believe in coaching with purpose. Programmes are supported by objective testing, clear progression and high coaching standards to provide athletes with an individualised approach to their long-term development.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an enthusiastic Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our growing team.

The role combines delivery of our Athlete Development Programme with work across our sporting partnerships, off-site coaching and performance testing.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious coach to broaden their skillset, take on greater responsibility and continue developing as a practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching

  • Deliver and supervise Athlete Development Programme sessions.
  • Deliver Strength & Conditioning sessions for EDP partners.
  • Deliver off-site speed and agility sessions.
  • Provide safe, engaging and professional coaching.

Athlete Development

  • Assist with programme planning and delivery.
  • Support long-term athlete development.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents and partner organisations.

Performance Testing

  • Assist with athlete testing and monitoring.
  • Collect and interpret performance data.
  • Provide appropriate feedback to athletes.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and organised training environment.
  • Uphold Perform For Sport coaching standards.
  • Participate in CPD and continued professional development.
  • Contribute positively to the wider team and growth of the business.

Essential Criteria

  • Undergraduate degree in Strength & Conditioning, Sport & Exercise Science, Sports Science or a related discipline.
  • UKSCA Accredited (ASCC) or actively working towards accreditation.
  • Previous experience coaching athletes within Strength & Conditioning or athletic development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, organised and reliable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Available to work evenings and Saturdays.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience using force plates, timing gates or sports science technology.
  • Experience delivering performance testing.
  • Experience working with youth athletes.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Safeguarding qualification.

What We Offer

  • 25–32 contracted hours per week, dependent on experience. (£15.00+p/h both self-employed and PAYE options available)
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience.
