Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Structure Stress Engineer with a strong background in Airbus aircraft programmes to perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance (F&DT) analysis on primary and secondary aircraft structures. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure structural integrity, certification compliance, and timely delivery of engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Static, Fatigue, and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) stress analysis for primary and secondary aircraft structures.
- Conduct structural justification through classical hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Perform stress analysis on metallic and composite structures.
- Extract and interpret loads from GFEM/DFEM models.
- Identify critical failure modes and evaluate structural integrity.
- Develop mitigation strategies for low margins of safety.
- Prepare and review Stress Dossiers in accordance with certification requirements.
- Validate stress analysis outputs and ensure compliance with Airbus engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Configuration Management teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support onsite/offshore engineering coordination and provide technical guidance.
- Utilize Airbus stress methodologies and tools, including ISAMI, where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience working on Airbus aircraft programmes.
- Strong knowledge of Static Stress Analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis.
- Experience analysing metallic and composite aircraft structures.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and classical hand calculations.
- Good understanding of load extraction from GFEM/DFEM models.
- Knowledge of Airbus structural design processes and certification requirements.
- Ability to prepare and review technical stress documentation.

Desirable
- Airbus Stress Signatory (Checker/Approver) experience.
- Experience using Airbus Supply tools such as DocMaster and AirnavX.
- Familiarity with Airbus engineering procedures including RSDP, SIDP, AP, ABD, AIPI, and AIPS.
- Valid Airbus training certificates in SAP, ISAMI, VPM, and PASS SSI.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in aerospace structural stress analysis.
- Demonstrated experience working on Airbus aircraft programmes (e.g., A320, A330, A350, A380, A400M).
