Overview

Join a high-performing engineering team delivering complex, regulated projects across multiple sectors.

You'll take ownership of structural analysis activities, ensuring designs are robust, compliant, and delivered to quality, time, and budget.

What you'll do

  • Perform stress and structural analysis (hand calcs + FEA where needed)
  • Work closely with design engineers to solve real-world engineering problems
  • Produce and check design substantiation reports
  • Act as the technical authority for analysis, including subcontractor work
  • Influence designs early to improve manufacturability, cost, and performance
  • Support planning, mentoring, and continuous improvement of analysis methods

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience in stress analysis & hand calculations (Mathcad)
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. Eurocodes / lifting or structural codes)
  • Background in a highly regulated environment (nuclear, defence, etc.)
  • Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran or similar)
  • Ability to interrogate designs and define load cases (static, dynamic, fatigue)
  • Confident communicator, able to justify analysis to stakeholders
