Structural BIM Technician | Parametric Modeling & Complex Geometry

London | Hybrid

We’re working with a leading structural engineering practice that is looking to speak with experienced Structural BIM Technicians that specialise in computational and parametric design who can bridge the gap between advanced digital geometry and structural BIM delivery.

This is not a traditional BIM Technician position. The role will focus heavily on advanced Rhino and Grasshopper modelling, particularly around complex, non-standard and geometrically challenging structures. You’ll be responsible for developing and refining parametric workflows, creating reliable Rhino/Grasshopper ↔ Revit interoperability processes and translating computational geometry into practical, coordinated and buildable Revit elements. This will include working with curved, faceted and freeform geometries, supporting the development of computational design approaches that improve the efficiency and accuracy of structural BIM delivery, and managing complex Revit Structure models alongside advanced computational workflows. You’ll also work closely with structural engineers, BIM specialists and project teams to develop digital solutions to project specific geometry and modelling challenges.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This would suit someone who sees themselves as more than a traditional BIM Technician, someone who enjoys solving complex geometric problems, developing parametric workflows and pushing the way computational design is integrated into structural BIM.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects where complex geometry and digital design require a more sophisticated approach to modelling and coordination.

If you have a strong combination of Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit Structure and computational/parametric design experience, I’d be keen to hear from you. Please feel free to message me or send over your CV for a confidential conversation.
