Structural Designer
Searching for Structural Designers UK Wide— we’re currently working with a Civil Engineering design consultancy specialising in Railway Signalling structures and Lineside civils design. You will be involved in the fabrication works across a mixture of Railway projects. The opportunity requires proficiency in Tekla. Fully remote working can be offered on an ad hoc contract basis
Compensation:
- Hourly rates Outside IR35 (rate variation depending on experience).
- Fully remote working arrangements

Requirements:
- Proven experience in structural steelwork detailing/design using Tekla Structures.
- Experience producing fabrication-ready models and drawings.
- Experience working with rail infrastructure or other complex infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines and manage multiple project deliverables.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures from engineering information, specifications, and design drawings.
- Prepare models and drawings suitable for steel fabrication and site installation.
- Develop practical steelwork connections, brackets, plates, stiffeners, supports, and fabricated components.
- Check models and drawings for dimensional accuracy, buildability, fabrication requirements, and compliance with project standards.
