At Oakwrights, we don't produce standard designs, and we don't build ordinary buildings. For over 25 years, we've been creating some of the UK's most beautiful bespoke oak-framed homes, extensions, outbuildings and architectural structures, combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge manufacturing technology.

Every project is unique, every challenge is different, and every design leaves a lasting mark on the landscape.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a talented Structural Designer with experience in timber, steel and oak frame construction to join our passionate design team in Hereford.

Why Oakwrights?

Imagine working somewhere that takes a project from concept to reality under one roof. Our design office sits alongside our workshop and advanced Hundegger CNC manufacturing facilities, giving you a direct connection between what you design and what gets built. You'll see your ideas move from drawings and details to precision-machined components and ultimately to stunning completed structures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
