Structural Detailer Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Structural Detailer to join a specialist steelwork business based in Gildersome, Leeds.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technician to join the team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 3D Tekla models and detailed construction drawings for architectural metalwork, including bespoke staircases, balustrades, and associated steelwork.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced detailer, or someone with relevant structural detailing experience, looking to develop their career within a specialist and technically focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 3D models and detailed construction drawings using Tekla software.
- Detail staircases, balustrades, and associated architectural metalwork.
- Interpret customer requirements, specifications, and architectural/structural drawings.
- Develop practical, accurate, and compliant detailing solutions.
- Liaise with clients to clarify technical queries and resolve design issues.
- Ensure drawings meet project requirements and expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Work closely with design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a structural or architectural detailing role.
- Experience using Tekla Structures or similar 3D detailing software.
- The ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- A strong understanding of construction detailing.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A methodical and organized approach to work.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with architectural metalwork, staircases, or balustrades would be advantageous.
