Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Structural Steel Draughtsperson / Detailer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate structural steel drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures and/or Revit, while working closely with our design, fabrication, and project management teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
Duties
- Produce detailed fabrication and general arrangement (GA) drawings for structural steel projects.
- Create and maintain accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures and/or Revit.
- Carry out site surveys and accurately measure existing structures and site conditions.
- Translate site survey information into accurate drawings and 3D models.
- Prepare fabrication packages, including assembly drawings, single-part drawings, and material lists.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers, site teams, and the workshop to resolve design queries.
- Assist with project coordination and ensure drawings are issued within programme deadlines.
- Maintain drawing revisions and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- Previous experience in structural steel detailing or draughting.
- Proficient in Tekla Structures and/or Revit.
- Experience in carrying out site surveys and taking accurate site measurements.
- Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Good understanding of structural / architectural steel fabrication.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
