Structural Design Engineer
Location: London or Manchester
Salary: 40k - 50k dependent on experience
Emtech Recruitment is working with an award-winning, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and positive impact across the built environment.
With 200+ employees across the UK and Ireland, they work on a diverse range of projects for high-profile private and public-sector clients. They are now looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join their collaborative team.
The Role
Working alongside Senior and Associate Engineers, you will be involved in a range of structural engineering projects while developing your technical, project management, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake structural engineering design and analysis.
- Prepare, present, and check drawings and calculations.
- Brief and support Technicians and Graduate Engineers.
- Attend site and project team meetings.
- Carry out occasional site surveys and inspections.
- Contribute to design reviews, bids, and fee proposals.
- Develop project management, resource planning, and commercial skills.
- Support junior team members and contribute to their development.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and company QMS.

About You
- Relevant structural engineering experience within a consultancy.
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience producing structural calculations and drawings.
- Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Collaborative approach with an interest in architecture and the built environment.
- Passionate about sustainable design.
- Already working towards Chartered Engineer status or keen to progress towards chartership.
