Join our innovative and fast-growing team as a Structural Engineer in our vibrant Glasgow office, where fresh ideas and collaboration shape every project.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-impact structural solutions across a diverse range of sectors—from Highways and Public Realm to Residential, Healthcare, Education, Justice, Commercial, and Leisure—making a real difference in the built environment.

Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:
- Ensure high-quality technical delivery of projects and tasks, including design, calculations, and drawing support.
- Undertake building surveys and provide appraisals with recommendations for remedial solutions.
- Manage small project fees and resources to ensure commercial success.
- Act as point of contact for client and contractor queries.
- Minimise health and safety risks and promote Pick Everard staff competencies.
- Collaborate with project teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Integrate sustainable engineering practices into projects and commit to ongoing professional development.
- Compliance with Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.

Our Ideal Structural Engineer Must Have:
- Minimum BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering; MSc/MEng preferred.
- Incorporated Engineer or Near Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE), or approaching membership, with relevant UK experience.
- Strong technical problem-solving, risk management, and knowledge of UK design standards, codes, and construction methods.
- Experienced with structural analysis, design, 3D modelling, and software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across written, visual, and in-person interactions.
- Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks.
- Site visit experience and a collaborative approach, engaging with internal and external teams.
- Committed to sustainable design solutions and ongoing professional development through CPD and training.
