Join our innovative and fast-growing team as a Structural Engineer in our vibrant Glasgow office, where fresh ideas and collaboration shape every project.

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-impact structural solutions across a diverse range of sectors—from Highways and Public Realm to Residential, Healthcare, Education, Justice, Commercial, and Leisure—making a real difference in the built environment.

Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Ensure high-quality technical delivery of projects and tasks, including design, calculations, and drawing support.
  • Undertake building surveys and provide appraisals with recommendations for remedial solutions.
  • Manage small project fees and resources to ensure commercial success.
  • Act as point of contact for client and contractor queries.
  • Minimise health and safety risks and promote Pick Everard staff competencies.
  • Collaborate with project teams and mentor junior engineers.
  • Integrate sustainable engineering practices into projects and commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Compliance with Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.

Our Ideal Structural Engineer Must Have:

  • Minimum BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering; MSc/MEng preferred.
  • Incorporated Engineer or Near Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE), or approaching membership, with relevant UK experience.
  • Strong technical problem-solving, risk management, and knowledge of UK design standards, codes, and construction methods.
  • Experienced with structural analysis, design, 3D modelling, and software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across written, visual, and in-person interactions.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks.
  • Site visit experience and a collaborative approach, engaging with internal and external teams.
  • Committed to sustainable design solutions and ongoing professional development through CPD and training.
