Structural Engineer

Location: London
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 + benefits & bonuses

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a well-established, International Multidisciplinary Consultancy. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis from our client's Central London office. You will work on technically challenging and high-profile Residential, Healthcare, and Commercial projects, with exposure to Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake structural analysis and design using a variety of materials including steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
  • Produce engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Assist in the delivery of projects from feasibility and concept stages through detailed design and construction.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and other design team members.
  • Attend project meetings and site inspections as required.
  • Review drawings and designs to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the preparation of tender and construction documentation.
  • Contribute to value engineering exercises and sustainable design initiatives.
  • Assist senior engineers and directors in project delivery and client management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2-5 years' relevant structural engineering experience within a consultancy environment.
  • Experience designing with steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and UK Building Regulations.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, ETABS, Robot, or similar.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM processes.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
