Role Description
This is a full-time Structural Engineer role based in the City of Edinburgh with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing some work from home. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and calculations for food manufacturing factories and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

- Preparing and reviewing structural designs
- Developing drawings and models using CAD tools
- Collaborating with civil and other engineering disciplines
- Coordinating with project managers and clients
- Producing technical reports
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Supporting site visits, inspections, and design reviews to ensure buildability and safety
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering for industrial and factory design projects
- Skills in Structural Analysis and Calculations to develop safe, efficient, and compliant structural solutions
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to produce accurate drawings and models
- Relevant degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and progress toward professional accreditation (e.g., chartership) is beneficial
- Ability to interpret codes and standards, prepare technical documentation, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments, and familiarity with UK building regulations, is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a hybrid working setup
