Role Description
The Structural Engineer – Facades will provide engineering design, analysis, and technical support for architectural glazing and façade projects, ensuring safety, performance, and compliance with relevant standards.

- Developing structural concepts
- Performing structural calculations
- Reviewing drawings and specifications
- Coordinating with architects, contractors, and suppliers to integrate façade systems with the building envelope

The role involves assessing building movement and structural behavior of glass, aluminum, and support systems, and contributing to design reviews, value engineering, and project documentation.
The Structural Engineer will also support site inspections, resolve technical issues during construction, and contribute to continuous improvement of design methodologies and standards.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Greater London, with a mix of office, site, and work-from-home arrangements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in façade-related domains, including Building Envelope and Facade design, with a strong understanding of materials, connections, and system performance.
- Solid background in Structural Engineering, including structural analysis of glass, steel, and aluminum components, and familiarity with relevant design codes and standards.
- Proficiency with engineering and design tools (e.g., structural analysis software, CAD/BIM platforms) and ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional registration or progress toward chartership is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working on façade or architectural glazing projects, preferably in the UK or similar regulatory environment, and comfort collaborating with architects and contractors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a hybrid setting, including on-site visits across Greater London when required.
