Structural Engineer – Greater Manchester & UK Wide

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 + benefits

Location: Greater Manchester & UK-wide opportunities

Working Pattern: Hybrid / Flexible

You’ll be surrounded by experienced engineers and specialists, given the opportunity to work on varied projects, develop your technical expertise and take increasing responsibility as your career progresses.

The Opportunity

As a Structural Engineer, you could be involved in:

  • Structural analysis and design across a variety of project types.
  • Designing structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and other materials.
  • Developing structural concepts and practical, buildable solutions.
  • Producing calculations, technical reports, specifications and drawings.
  • Working with modern structural analysis and design software.
  • Supporting projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
  • Working closely with architects, contractors, clients and other engineering disciplines.
  • Solving complex engineering challenges and developing innovative solutions.
  • Contributing to sustainable and efficient design approaches.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers as you develop your own leadership capability.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with Structural Engineers who have:

  • A degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience within a structural engineering consultancy or similar environment.
  • Experience in structural design and analysis.
  • Knowledge of relevant UK design standards and Eurocodes.
  • Experience with steel, concrete, timber or a combination of materials.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive approach and genuine interest in developing your career.

Chartered or Incorporated status, or progression towards professional qualification, would be advantageous but is not essential.
