A growing multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its expanding team in Oxford. The successful Structural Engineer will work on a varied portfolio of building structures projects, contributing to the design and delivery of schemes across multiple sectors from concept through to completion.

Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary colleagues in Oxford, this opportunity will suit a Structural Engineer who enjoys technical delivery, client interaction and developing innovative structural solutions. With exposure to both new build and refurbishment building structures projects, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience whilst progressing towards Chartership.

Due to the nature of several building structures projects, candidates will need to hold UK SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain clearance.

We Are Looking For A Structural Engineer Who:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Is working towards Chartership with the IStructE or ICE
  • Has experience delivering new build and refurbishment projects
  • Has designed structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry
  • Possesses a strong understanding of UK design standards and regulations
  • Is familiar with BIM processes and Revit
  • Can produce structural calculations, technical reports and design sketches
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Is keen to develop their career within the Oxford office

As The Successful Structural Engineer, You Will:

  • Design practical and cost effective structural solutions for a variety of projects
  • Deliver coordinated designs alongside architects and multidisciplinary teams
  • Undertake structural surveys and prepare technical reports
  • Produce calculations and technical information for building structures projects
  • Support project delivery from concept design through to construction
  • Contribute to bid submissions and fee proposals
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work closely with colleagues in Oxford to deliver high quality engineering solutions
  • Help ensure projects are delivered safely, sustainably and efficiently
