Structural Engineer
Location: Putney, South West London
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Arrangement: Office-based, with hybrid working considered on an individual basis

Aspire Consulting Engineers is a growing structural engineering consultancy based in Putney, South West London, specialising in creative, innovative and cost-effective structural design solutions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Structural Engineer with 3 – 4 years’ experience to join our experienced and dynamic team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer who is chartered or working towards chartership and is looking to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment, with direct guidance from experienced Chartered Engineers.
You will work across a varied portfolio of projects, gaining valuable experience in structural design, client interaction and site work.
The Role
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in structural design and be comfortable working across a range of project types.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing structural design calculations and technical information.
- Developing practical, creative and cost-effective structural solutions.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and other members of the project team.
- Liaising with clients and attending client meetings.
- Attending site visits and site meetings.
- Working on projects from concept through to completion.
- Contributing to the continued development of the practice.

About You
We are looking for someone who is technically capable, commercially aware and keen to develop their career.
Ideally, you will:
- Have 3 – 4 years' relevant structural engineering experience.
- Actively working towards ICE or IStructE chartership.
- Have experience in structural design and design calculations.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be confident liaising with colleagues, clients and other project stakeholders.
- Have a practical and creative approach to solving engineering problems.
- Take pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
- Be motivated to develop your technical and professional skills.

Experience with structural engineering software such as TEDDS, Robot, Tekla Structural Designer and MasterSeries is desirable.
A Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
Salary and Benefits
£35,000 – £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, with a competitive package available for the right candidate.
