Structural Steelwork Tekla Detailer – South Midlands / Worcestershire
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Detailer to join our detailing team and play a key part in creating precise 3D models and fabrication drawings for structural steel projects, both domestically and internationally.
This position offers a full-time opportunity to contribute to exciting sports stadia construction projects by transforming complex design concepts into actionable manufacturing plans.
The person needs to produce models that make sense to our fabricators, the connections need to work and can easily and accurately be interpreted by the erection teams on site.
The Role
Using Tekla Structures, you will convert design and engineering information into detailed models and fabrication drawings.

- Create accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
- Generate detailed fabrication and erection drawings that communicate precise measurements, connections, and assembly instructions for steel components.
- Develop details from architectural and engineering drawings and project information.
- Coordinate with in-house designers and delivery teams, external consultants, engineers, project teams, clients both in UK and Internationally to resolve detailing issues.
- Coordinate with domestic and international supply chains.
- Review models and drawings carefully to identify clashes, discrepancies, and changes.
- Review and coordinate model data with other disciplines such as AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation to ensure seamless integration across project workflows.
- Support projects from initial detailing through to fabrication and delivery.

The Candidate
You will already have experience using Tekla Structures within a structural steel environment. This is a must.
In addition, ideally, you will have strong knowledge of CAD-based tools including Revit and Autocad software and have a strong knowledge of drawing and document control.
You should be comfortable working with structural steel models and drawings and understand and support the fabrication process and erection teams.
Previous experience in a structural steel detailing environment is important.
