Are you currently leading major data centre projects but feel limited by corporate layers and red tape? Would the opportunity to help shape the future direction of a growing consultancy with genuine influence at board level appeal to you? Do you want to work on hyperscale developments across the UK, Europe and the Middle East whilst retaining the flexibility to be based anywhere in the UK?
A privately owned, multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering is looking to appoint a Structural Technical Director to support the continued growth of its mission critical and data centre division.
With around 50 staff across multiple UK offices, the business has built an impressive reputation delivering hyperscale data centres, large-scale residential schemes, healthcare developments and university campus projects.

The Role
The successful Technical Director will work closely with senior leadership, providing technical direction across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects while helping to develop teams and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of major hyperscale data centre projects
- Provide strategic direction across engineering teams and project portfolios
- Support project delivery across the UK, Middle East and European markets
- Work closely with Directors and senior leadership on business growth initiatives
- Act as a key point of contact for major clients and project stakeholders
- Oversee technical standards, design quality and project performance
- Mentor senior engineers and assist in succession planning across the business
- Based within the UK, able to have bi-weekly meetings in person
- Contribute to the continued expansion of the firm's mission critical offering

Requirements
- Has extensive experience delivering large-scale civil or structural engineering projects specifically within mission critical environments
- Can provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Has experience managing client relationships and developing business opportunities
- Is confident mentoring and developing engineering teams
- Can operate at a strategic level whilst remaining involved in technical delivery
- Has experience coordinating with multiple disciplines and stakeholders
- Would enjoy helping shape the future growth of an ambitious privately owned consultancy
Package
- £85,000 - £110,000
- Remote or hybrid working options - Opportunity to be based anywhere within the UK
