Structural Technician | London

An established and growing structural engineering consultancy is looking for a Structural Technician to join its London team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded technician who enjoys working on varied, design-led projects and wants to develop their career within a collaborative engineering environment.

🔧 The Role

You’ll work closely with structural engineers, architects, contractors and other design professionals to develop clear, coordinated and technically robust structural information.

The role will involve a varied portfolio of projects, including new-build, refurbishment, residential, commercial and heritage schemes, as well as more bespoke and technically challenging structures.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing detailed structural drawings and models
  • Preparing general arrangement, reinforcement and construction drawings
  • Working alongside engineers to develop structural design solutions
  • Coordinating structural information with architects and other consultants
  • Detailing structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry
  • Assisting with surveys and existing-building information
  • Supporting projects from concept through to construction
  • Maintaining a high standard of technical accuracy and presentation

👷 About You

We’re looking for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented and keen to develop.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous experience as a Structural Technician within a consultancy environment
  • Good knowledge of structural detailing and construction
  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • An understanding of UK structural engineering and construction
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn

The position would suit an experienced Structural Technician, or someone earlier in their career who is looking for the right environment to develop their technical skills.
