We're Hiring: Structured Cabling Engineer

We're looking for a competent Structured Cabling Engineer to join our team, installing structured cabling within residential living spaces across our Yorkshire and Humber area.

What you'll be doing:

  • Running cable from the cabinet to access points serving individual flats, through false ceilings and risers.
  • Terminating CAT6 cable into RJ45 modular connectors and terminating into patch panels.
  • Installing and positioning Wi-Fi access points.
  • Cabinet equipment installation, working with the client to make the cab live.
  • Testing and certifying cabling using a Fluke tester, and drawing up as-built plans
  • Working from design packs and site documentation to deliver against spec

What you'll need:

  • Proven competence in copper network installation (structured cabling, CAT6/RJ45)
  • CSCS card or equivalent.
  • Working at Heights trained
  • Asbestos Awareness trained
  • Fire Stopping certified.
  • Able to read a Fluke tester and produce accurate as-built drawings
  • Comfortable working in occupied residential environments — professional manner essential
  • Own tools; own van preferred (company fleet vehicle available if needed)
