Structured Operations – Associate

Location: London

Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Type: Permanent

Miryco Consultants is working with a leading UK asset management business that is expanding its Asset Operations team. They are looking for a Structured Operations Associate to support their Asset Origination desks internationally.

This is a newly created role offering excellent exposure to a broad range of structured and private investment activity, including commercial real estate, infrastructure, social housing and residential ground rents.

The role would suit someone with 3–7 years' experience in a trading or structuring middle office / trade support environment, particularly within an investment bank, who is looking to take on greater responsibility in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment.

The Role

You will provide end-to-end operational support for bespoke investment activity, working closely with Asset Origination and a broad range of teams including Trading, Structuring, Finance, Risk, Legal, Technology and Quants/Strats.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing pre-trade support for Asset Origination activities, including developing processes for new products and contributing to risk assessments.
  • Validating and reconciling trade activity between internal risk systems and third-party books and records.
  • Supporting settlement and lifecycle management across a range of structured and fixed income products.
  • Working with products including interest rate and cross-currency swaps, FX, CDS and bonds.
  • Supporting long-term secured funding structures across commercial real estate, infrastructure and social housing.
  • Supporting transactions involving Special Purpose Vehicles and other bespoke structures.
  • Managing deal closing activities and coordinating with Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk and Asset Origination.
  • Performing post-trade reviews of structured transactions, ensuring trade bookings align with legal documentation.
  • Supporting intraday funding, cash flow management and cash reconciliations.
  • Identifying operational risks and helping to develop effective controls and processes.
  • Leading and contributing to projects designed to improve processes and operational efficiency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
