The Role

To undertake Rural valuations, management and general Rural consultancy in the Suffolk and the surrounding area.

Requirements

  • Responsible for the delivery of the valuations work steam in Suffolk and the surrounding area.
  • Undertake valuations for a range of purposes including loan security, tax, inheritance and estate planning (rural, residential and development/planning appraisal)
  • Work with colleagues and the Head of Rural Team to develop all work streams.
  • Produce high quality, detailed and professional reports to our clients in line with agreed timescales.
  • Undertake general Rural consultancy and management work as required.
  • Provide professional and reasoned advice to our clients at all times.

  • Competent and experienced RICS qualified rural surveyor with experience of delivering work across a range of projects
  • Capable of building relationships with existing and new clients and generating new opportunities
  • Possess a composed manner to be able to work under pressure
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise workloads
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills - must be capable of building and maintaining good relationships with team members, other colleagues and clients
  • Confident manner with clients and the team
  • An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion
  • Ability to network, influence and negotiate effectively.

Qualifications

  • MRICS
  • RICS Registered Valuer
  • FAAV qualified an advantage

Experience

  • Experience in agricultural and rural residential valuations
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and mapping software
  • Experience in working in a regional setting potentially covering more than one office location.
