Description
We are currently seeking a Student Accommodation Administrator who will work alongside the Student Accommodation team and help support the wider Estates team in providing a friendly and professional support service for students living in University Accommodation.
About the Role
You will be organized and customer-focused and will provide effective administrative support to the Student Accommodation team.
The role will involve:
- Responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries
- Maintaining accurate records and administrative systems
- Arranging meetings and taking minutes
- Handling more complex queries appropriately
You will also support the promotion of Student Housing Accommodation Services and accommodation opportunities at Open Days, Applicant Visit Days and other events, while ensuring compliance with the University's Data Protection Policy.
About You
- Experience of using computerised systems including database, internet and email
- Experience of providing excellent customer service
- An understanding of and willingness to observe confidentiality at all times
- Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
- Experience of administration in an education setting
- Experience of working in an accommodation setting
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent
- Proactive engagement with personal and professional development within the role

Additional Information
Salary Grade 4 - Starting from £26,707 rising to £28,778 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Hours of work - The post holder will occasionally be required to work at weekends and evenings to take part in events. There are peak periods of service demand throughout the year, particularly during the weeks leading up to the beginning of the academic year in September. During such busy periods, when the demand for advice is at its highest, it may not be possible for annual leave to be granted.
Location - There may be a requirement to work between the University campuses and Accommodation Sites
Manual Handling - Some aspects of the job will require lifting and carrying items and a large number of tasks are necessary to be completed walking and standing
