About The Role

Pertemps Loughborough Commercial seeks Student Check-In Runner staff across various accommodation sites in Loughborough. This full-time temporary contract runs from 19 September to 27 September 2026, paying £13.58 hourly. Applicants must be available throughout. Duties include assisting students with luggage on arrival, moving belongings between vehicles, reception areas and rooms, and supporting parents or guardians. Workers provide a friendly welcome while keeping arrivals organised. Physical stamina, reliability and strong communication skills are essential. Successful candidates will join a busy check-in crew, helping each student settle into their new home during this peak period.

The Role

We are looking for friendly, energetic and reliable Student Check-In Runners to support student arrivals across various accommodation sites in Loughborough.

You will be part of a busy check-in team helping students move into their accommodation, ensuring everything runs smoothly and providing a friendly welcome.

Duties

  • Assisting students with their luggage and belongings on arrival
  • Moving luggage between vehicles, reception areas and student accommodation
  • Helping students and parents/guardians with general queries
  • Supporting the wider check-in team during busy arrival periods
  • Keeping communal areas clear and tidy
  • Providing a friendly and helpful service to students
  • Working across different student accommodation sites in Loughborough as required

About You

  • Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with students and the public
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet for the majority of the day
  • Happy to lift and carry luggage
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and available for ad-hoc shifts when required
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, events or similar experience is beneficial
