About The Post

These 2 posts are full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.

We are seeking two experienced and compassionate Student Counsellors to join our Counselling and Mental Health Service and play a key role in supporting student wellbeing and success.

As a Student Counsellor, you will provide high-quality, short-term counselling interventions to students experiencing a wide range of personal, emotional and psychological difficulties. You will undertake assessments, manage risk appropriately, support students in achieving their therapeutic goals, and contribute to a safe, inclusive and professionally governed service.

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to safeguarding processes, case consultation, service development initiatives, group work, and the promotion of student mental health and wellbeing across the University. There will also be opportunities to lead on specialist areas of interest and contribute to the ongoing development of an innovative and responsive service.

This role is based at our Cavendish and Harrow campuses, with flexibility for hybrid working in line with service requirements.
