The Role
This is a temporary position for maternity cover.
The role reports to the Head of Careers and Employability and is responsible for the operational management, development, and delivery of employability provision across the University, including Unitemps, Internships, Enterprise, and mentoring activities.

A key focus of the role will be to manage Unitemps as a commercially focused, compliance-led recruitment service, ensuring effective operational delivery, financial oversight, regulatory compliance, service development, and income generation.
The role is also responsible for developing and expanding internship and paid work experience opportunities for students and graduates, working collaboratively with internal departments, academic colleagues, and external employers to increase participation, improve Graduate outcomes, and strengthen employer partnerships.
Ideal Candidate
You will have leadership experience, ideally in a careers or employability service. We are looking for someone who can bring the best out of their team, to deliver a high-quality service to students and graduates.

The successful candidate will need to be confident giving clear direction to others, well-organized, and excellent at balancing priorities. Strong interpersonal skills will be vital to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, as will solid skills for data analysis and reporting.

The Team
You will join the senior leadership team with DMU’s award-winning Careers Team, which sits within the Directorate of Student Life and Learning Services (SLLS). This directorate is responsible for providing a wide and diverse range of services to all our students, including Student Wellbeing, Careers & Employability, Student Finance, and Academic Support.
