About Talent Shared Services (TSS)

Talent Shared Services (TSS) is a Birmingham based, centralised team who play a crucial role supporting the firm’s Talent strategy and employee lifecycle. Comprising a broad spectrum of teams, the TSS provide efficient and specialised support in the areas of:

  • HR Advisory
  • Payroll
  • Employee data management
  • Absence case management
  • Talent Information Systems
  • Student screening & onboarding
  • Student apprenticeship & compliance
  • Immigration support
  • Security clearance vetting

By centralising these services, and focusing on consistency, compliance and operational excellence, the TSS enables the broader Talent team to focus on strategic initiatives and the overall employee experience.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of EY’s UK Talent Shared Services (UK TSS) who support the administration of EY’s professional qualification and compliance management for EY student and apprentices.

Your Key Responsibilities

In this role you will work closely with various EY teams including HR Services, wider Student Experience teams and external vendors. This role will suit someone with a passion for data management, a desire to develop process and increase their experience within the private sector.

  • Support the maintenance of the professional qualifications database, used by students, counsellors and the business to hold qualification related data and information. This includes creating student records, pathways, capturing data relevant to the student’s professional qualification data and then maintaining the database data integrity.
  • Run regular data integrity checks within the database to ensure data is accurate and to notify appropriate parties where there are data changes.
  • Support student intake activity including, student registration and tracking, coordination of exemption impact to student pathways and enabling students requesting access arrangements
  • Review student requirements for membership eligibility e.g. ICAS achievement logs, ICAEW online training file. You may need to provide advice to counsellors on the review of work experience data.
  • Completion of regular data audits and housekeeping to maintain the professional qualifications database. This includes managing the integration of system enhancements.
  • Manage the results and exam fail administration for students studying professional qualifications.
  • Student query management regarding qualification and apprenticeship compliance. A SharePoint and student database are available to resolve general queries.
  • Manage invoicing/billing process related to professional qualifications costs, liaising with appropriate contacts internally and externally.

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Able to work under pressure to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects. Demonstrate flexibility to delivering project tasks.
  • Identify risks and manage/escalate as appropriate.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and vision and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Consult and collaborate to build robust relationships across all TSS Service Teams, HR Services and Regional stakeholders, to ensure best practice is shared.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Strong organisational and planning skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge strong working relationships within UK Talent Shared Services (UK TSS) and internal/external teams
  • A good attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience of working within a shared services centre environment.
  • Experience of working with professional qualifications and/or apprenticeship administration.
