JOB SUMMARY
Gain experience and exposure to practical customer service applications within the utility industry. Individual normally works under close supervision and will perform a variety of functions and work on various projects, working with customer service analysts and customer service managers.
Intern Job Description

Working in a team environment to assist customer service personnel in day to day activities, including but not limited to:
- Providing customer service support by resolving customer frictions as they occur
- Utilizing billing software to research customer account activity to resolve customer issues
- Developing and documenting internal customer service processes
- Supporting the Company’s product and services initiatives to enhance the customer experience
- Reviewing and supporting the engineering design process
- Participating in customer coordination calls with customer service personnel
- Work on special projects to assist in improving customer satisfaction
- Performing and supporting a wide variety of detailed analysis in customer service-related areas
- Processing department mail and assisting with Net Metering applications
Education Requirements
- Candidates must be actively enrolled (for the duration of the internship) and pursuing an undergraduate degree program, masters or doctorate degree in a relevant field of study.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale), verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.
Desired: Strong consideration will be given to prior recipients of the Oscar Washington, Jr. Educational Fund Scholarship.
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI is a plus.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to details.

Work Conditions
- Office and Field work. Some situations might require ability to work in adverse climate conditions and physical nature of work may require walking long distances in uneven off-road environments. Some travel may be necessary.
