12-Month Medical Affairs Student Placement
Offering hands-on experience across scientific projects, medical education, patient engagement, evidence generation, and cross-functional collaboration.
About the Role
Our Medical Affairs team works with healthcare professionals, scientific experts, and cross-functional partners to generate and communicate scientific evidence that supports better outcomes for patients. The team supports a diverse portfolio of pipeline and established medicines across a range of therapeutic areas.
This 12-month placement offers hands-on experience in medical education, patient engagement, evidence generation, and scientific projects, while providing valuable insight into the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
This role will be based in our modern state-of-the-art co-working facilities in Moorgate, London. This site, at the heart of London provides fantastic amenities, support services and collaborative workspaces with convenient transport links.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of Medical Affairs projects, including advisory boards, medical education activities, patient engagement initiatives, and access programmes.
- Contribute to Medical Affairs plans and support the implementation of activities across key therapeutic areas.
- Assist with evidence generation activities, including data gap analyses, local data generation studies, and investigator-initiated studies.
- Support medical communications, reporting, and team engagement activities, while developing knowledge of medicines, disease areas, and the healthcare environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on digital innovation, training, and business improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and pharmacovigilance processes.

Requirements
- Currently studying at a UK university and looking to complete a 12-month student internship as part of your undergraduate degree.
- Studying towards a BSc degree (or equivalent qualification) in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related discipline, with a demonstrated interest in healthcare sciences and the healthcare industry.
- Strong communication, organisational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Eagerness to learn, contribute, and develop in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
