The Met

The service provides policing to the 32 London Boroughs as well as a number of other local, national, and international functions such as counter terrorism and organised crime prevention. As the country’s largest police service, the service is recognised internationally as a leader in fighting crime, and many other policing organisations look to the MPS for best practice and guidance.
Counter Terrorism Policing
Counter Terrorism Policing is a collaboration of UK police forces working with the UK intelligence community to help protect the public and our national security by preventing, deterring, and investigating terrorist activity. As the threat of terrorism continues to change and evolve, we need to be ready which means we need to be constantly adapting. Delivering change is hugely important therefore, and this is your chance to play your part in a challenge that is as important as it gets: protecting the UK and its communities.
Multiple Roles

About You
All candidates must be undergraduate students in a sandwich year course returning to study in Autumn 2028.
Vetting
The posts require access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post.
Some posts may require British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC) clearance.
As the post holder will have access to very sensitive information, there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries, and we will undertake additional security checks as part of the recruitment process. Applications from candidates with close connections to certain countries may take considerably longer to process, or in some cases result in withdrawal of an offer of employment. Further details will be provided at the conditional offer stage.

Process
Once received, your application will be reviewed against eligibility criteria. Your application will be reviewed by the hiring manager. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview, which may be conducted either virtually or in person, depending on business requirements. If successful, all candidates will be required to attend Empress State Building, Empress Approach, Lillie Road, West Brompton, London, SW6 1TR, to complete identity checks and any associated pre-employment requirements.
