The Pushforward Group of Companies supports young people who don’t always thrive within a standard, one-size-fits-all academic system.
We believe every young person is different. By creating individualised programmes around their needs, interests and circumstances, we help them build confidence, feel comfortable and, most importantly, find their spark.
We’re looking for a compassionate, organised and highly capable Student Programme Coordinator to join our team at our Head Office in Bury St Edmunds.
About the role
This is a key coordination role within Pushforward. You’ll be responsible for helping to create and manage personalised timetables for our young people, bringing together a wide range of information to make sure each learner’s programme works for them in practice.
It’s much more than simply putting sessions into a diary.
You’ll gather information about learners through conversations with young people, parents, carers and other professionals, using this to help inform their individual timetable and programme.
You’ll meticulously plan learner timetables, taking into account not only the right sessions and support, but also practical considerations such as locations, journey times, travel arrangements and changing circumstances. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Logistics, Management, Safeguarding and Accreditation, ensuring everyone has the information they need and that learner sessions run as smoothly as possible.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
An important part of the role will also be communicating directly with young people and their families. You’ll need to explain timetabling decisions clearly and sensitively, particularly when circumstances change or when there are several different factors to balance.
The person we’re looking for
You’ll be someone who genuinely understands that the young people we work with may need a different approach. Empathy, patience and good judgement are therefore just as important as strong administration skills.
You will be:
- Compassionate and empathetic, with the ability to communicate confidently and sensitively with young people, families and professionals.
- Solution-focused, able to think through problems and find practical ways forward.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing demands.
- Methodical and accurate, with fantastic attention to detail.
- A confident communicator, comfortable gathering information and asking the right questions to make informed decisions.
- A strong problem solver, able to balance individual learner needs with practical and logistical considerations.
- Confident with IT systems, with the ability to learn and use different systems effectively.
- A team player, comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.

What experience you will need for the role
Due to the nature and responsibility of the role, applicants must have a minimum of three years’ administration or office-based experience.
Experience within education, alternative provision or working with young people would be beneficial, but just as important is having the right attitude, organisational ability and understanding of the people we support.
Working at Pushforward
You’ll be based at our Head Office in Bury St Edmunds, working as part of an Admin Team of more than 10 colleagues.
This is a role for someone who enjoys making things work: bringing together lots of moving parts, solving problems, communicating with different people and knowing that the work you do each day directly contributes to a young person receiving the individualised support they need.
If you’re organised, compassionate, comfortable with responsibility and believe that young people deserve an approach built around them rather than expecting them to fit into a standard system, we’d love to hear from you.
