The organization supports students in finding the right UK university or course through free, high-quality advice, guidance, and ongoing assistance throughout the application process. Services include tailored course and university selection, support with document preparation and personal statements, application and scholarship guidance, and interview and admissions test preparation. Smart Move Education Group is a British Council Approved and UCAS Registered Centre, and was recognized as Student Recruitment Consultancy of the Year 2024 at the HR & Employment Awards. The team works closely with students and educational institutions to facilitate successful admissions outcomes.
Role Description
The Student Recruitment Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The role involves advising prospective students on suitable courses and universities, conducting consultations, and guiding them through each stage of the UK application process. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing academic documents and personal statements, coordinating scholarship and funding information, and preparing students for interviews and admissions tests. The Student Recruitment Officer will build and maintain relationships with partner institutions, attend recruitment events and fairs, and support marketing and outreach activities to attract prospective students. The role also requires accurate record-keeping in internal systems, meeting recruitment targets, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure a high standard of student support.

Qualifications

- Experience in student advising, counseling, or recruitment, with strong skills in guiding students through university and course selection and the UK application process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with diverse students and families.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in handling documents, deadlines, and multiple student cases simultaneously.
- Comfort with using office productivity tools and student management systems; ability to maintain accurate records and generate basic reports.
- Knowledge of the UK higher education system, admissions procedures, and scholarship opportunities; prior experience in an education consultancy or university environment is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Business, Social Sciences, or similar) or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team, meet performance targets, and deliver a high level of customer service.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for fairs, events, or peak application periods.
