Student Recruitment Quality Officer – Higher Education

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

Overview

A Student Recruitment Quality Officer is responsible for maintaining quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across student recruitment and admissions processes within a higher education environment. The role combines quality assurance, recruitment data analysis, process auditing, compliance monitoring, and applicant experience. You will work closely with recruitment, admissions, academic, and other cross-functional teams to maintain high standards throughout the student journey from application through enrolment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor student recruitment and admissions processes to ensure compliance with institutional policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess the quality and effectiveness of recruitment activities in support of enrolment objectives.
  • Analyse application, conversion, recruitment, and enrolment data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Produce reports and insights for recruitment and admissions stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality checks and internal audits to maintain accuracy, consistency, and service standards.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, operational risks, and compliance issues.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Support a high-quality applicant experience throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Work collaboratively with student recruitment, admissions, academic, and other internal teams to maintain best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and quality assurance information.
  • Ensure student and recruitment data is handled appropriately in line with data protection and confidentiality requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across recruitment and admissions operations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes within student recruitment, admissions, or higher education.
  • Understanding of recruitment and admissions procedures and relevant regulatory or quality frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing applications, records, reports, and recruitment activities.
  • Experience analysing data, identifying trends, and making recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple audits, reports, and improvement initiatives.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and producing reports.
  • Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and information management requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across recruitment, admissions, academic, and operational teams.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality or process issues.
