Role Description

The Student Recruitment Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The role involves engaging with prospective students to understand their academic goals and advising them on suitable UK universities and courses. Day-to-day tasks include:

The Student Recruitment Officer will maintain accurate records of student interactions, collaborate with colleagues to improve outreach and service quality, and build positive relationships with partner institutions. The role also requires participation in student fairs, information sessions, and other recruitment activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate clearly, build rapport with diverse student populations, and provide empathetic, student-centered support.
  • Recruiting and Interviewing Skills: Effectively identify prospective students, assess their needs, and guide them through interviews and selection processes.
  • Job Description Development and Hiring Skills: Support internal recruitment activities and help define roles related to student support and outreach when required.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in student advising, higher education recruitment, or education consultancy is highly beneficial.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline), or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with standard office software and CRM or student management systems.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the UK higher education system and admissions processes is an advantage.
