Role Description
The Student Services Assistant is a contract, on-site role based in Greater Manchester, supporting learners throughout their time at Kings Hall College. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Welcoming and assisting students at the front desk
- Responding to inquiries in person, by phone, and email
- Providing information about courses, schedules, and college policies
- Maintaining accurate student records
- Processing registrations
- Handling administrative documentation
- Coordinating appointments with academic and support staff
The role also involves:
- Helping organize student events and activities
- Supporting the induction and orientation process
- Signposting learners to appropriate resources and support services
This position requires consistent, professional interaction with students, staff, and visitors in a busy educational environment.
Knowledge & Experience
Candidates should possess:
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset to support and engage with a diverse student population
- Administrative assistance skills, including data entry, record keeping, and basic office software proficiency
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, to handle inquiries and provide accurate information
- A solid understanding of education environments or prior experience in educational or student-facing services

Experience in a college or language school setting, and familiarity with safeguarding and equality, diversity, and inclusion practices, is an advantage.
