We are recruiting a part time (26.5 hours per week) Student Services Helpdesk Assistant to join our busy Student Services Helpdesk.

Role

With a variety of support offered across our campuses, this frontline role provides a high-quality service on a wide range of areas including:

  • Wellbeing, Mental Health and Counselling
  • Disability and Inclusion
  • Student Safety
  • Financial Support
  • Residential Life
  • Sexual Violence Liaison Officer Service

You will be a welcoming first point of contact for students, staff and stakeholders contacting the Student Services department. You will respond to enquiries via phone, email, web form, and in person, aiming to resolve at first contact or referring to the appropriate support services when needed.

Our Helpdesk receives a diverse and wide range of enquiries, so you will need to remain calm, resilient, and confident under pressure. Strong communication skills are essential, as contacts can vary from straightforward requests for information and guidance to more serious situations requiring a sensitive triage and a compassionate approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for Student Services enquiries.
  • Deliver professional, calm, and supportive customer service.
  • Respond to enquiries via phone, email, web form, and in person.
  • Book appointments for dedicated Student Services teams.
  • Maintain accurate records using a CRM system.
  • Support events such as Open Days.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in customer service, student support or a similar environment desirable.

This is a part time position of 26.5 hours per week to be agreed upon appointment across our working week (Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm, Friday 9am – 4.30pm) at our Exton Park site in Chester.
