Role Overview
To undertake ultrasound examinations of patients under direct supervision of sonographers in the areas of both general and obstetric ultrasound.
Responsibilities
- To attend university as scheduled and complete all theory and practical assessments on time.
- To liaise with ultrasound clinical lead for the purposes of scheduling training lists and progress checks.
Requirements
- This role requires HCPC Registration.
Location
This post will include rotation to Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch Hospitals and HSU CDC site.

- Date: Monday, 7th September, 2026
Training
The post holder will undertake training in the specialist areas of Obstetric and General Ultrasound. This will involve studying towards a postgraduate qualification on a day or block release system at a university of the Departments choice.

Rota
Participation in the extended day rota will be required.

If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
