At Cirencester Vets for Pets, we're passionate about helping our colleagues develop rewarding and successful careers, and we're excited to welcome a motivated Student Veterinary Nurse to our friendly and supportive team who is looking for a placement.

About Our Practice

Our modern, purpose-built practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and equipped to industry-leading standards, featuring state-of-the-art technology including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. You'll gain hands-on experience in a thriving clinical environment while learning from a dedicated and experienced team.

Role Overview

Working closely with our Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses, and Client Care Advisors, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working as part of a team, and is ready to build a strong foundation for a career in veterinary nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting our RVNs
  • Assisting with diagnostic tests
  • Preparing for surgical procedures
  • Handling and caring for a variety of small animals
  • Replenishing stock
  • Maintaining a clean and organised practice environment
  • Supporting clients both in person and over the phone

Position Details

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 weekends.

  • Enthusiasm and drive to the role
  • Passion for service matched with a love of pets
  • Ability to deal with a variety of situations, from comforting clients to sharing in the joy of new pets
  • Infectious personality that contributes to a welcoming and friendly practice atmosphere
  • Must be currently studying / being enrolled as an SVN
