Sheng Tai International UK Ltd is the UK branch of an international property development group headquartered in Malaysia. We work with investors, business partners and professional networks across the UK and Europe, promoting hospitality, real estate and mixed-use developments in Southeast Asia.
About the Placement
We are offering a structured Student Work Placement for students who are required to undertake a period of work experience as part of their current UK further or higher education course.
The placement is designed to provide practical exposure to an international business environment, with particular focus on business development, sales, marketing, property investment and project coordination.
Students will work under the supervision of our Manchester team and will be given appropriate learning objectives and practical experience relevant to their course of study.
Placement Activities
Depending on the student's course and agreed learning objectives, the placement may include supervised experience in:
- Business development and market research
- Sales support and CRM administration
- Marketing and social media
- Client presentations and events
- Property and investment research
- Business administration
- Project coordination
- International market development

What We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from students studying subjects such as business, marketing, international business, property, finance, communications or related disciplines.
Applicants should have good communication and organisational skills, basic Microsoft Office skills, a professional attitude and a willingness to learn. Previous professional experience is not required.
What the Student Will Gain
The placement will provide practical commercial experience, structured supervision and mentoring, exposure to international business operations and the opportunity to apply academic knowledge within a professional environment.
Upon successful completion, Sheng Tai International UK Ltd can provide a Placement Completion Certificate and, where appropriate, a professional reference.
Important Eligibility Requirements
This placement is intended only for current students where the work placement is a required part of a UK-based further or higher education course.
Applicants must be able to provide written confirmation from their university or college that:
- the placement forms part of their current course;
- the placement is required/integral to their course and will take place before the course ends;
- the proposed duration complies with their course requirements; and
- where applicable, the university or college approves Sheng Tai International UK Ltd as the placement provider.

Applicants must also have the appropriate immigration status and right to undertake the placement in the UK.
For students studying in the UK under the Student immigration route, the placement must comply with the conditions of their immigration permission and the requirements of their education provider.
Placement Arrangements
The placement is expected to last approximately 4–6 months, although the exact start date, duration, days and hours will be agreed with the student and, where applicable, their university or college.
This is an educational work placement undertaken as part of the student's course and is not a permanent employment position.
