About Vintage Threads
Founded in 2016, Vintage Threads is one of Europe’s leading vintage retailers, operating across online and physical stores in the UK and Europe. Every piece we sell is handpicked from around the world, with a highly curated selection of designer and sportswear from the 80s, 90s, and early 00s.
Our VT Rework department, established in 2019, is a rapidly growing and vital part of the business. Our mission is to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry by reworking damaged items into truly unique pieces.
With the recent launch of our first European outlet in Amsterdam, this is an exciting time of growth for Vintage Threads. Our team is energetic, ambitious, and deeply passionate about vintage and sustainability and we’re looking for a Studio Lead who shares this passion and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised Studio Assistant to work closely with the Studio Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our studio.
This role is central to keeping the business running smoothly. You’ll help plan daily and weekly priorities, ensure tasks are completed on time, and act as a key point of communication between the studio, shop floor, online operations, and our growing European outlet.

Key Responsibilities
Team & Daily Operations
- Work closely with the Studio Manager to plan the day and week, ensuring the team stays on track.
- Oversee and help to prioritise workloads and maintain momentum in the studio.
- Maintain smooth day-to-day studio operations, including washing, stock flow, and general organisation.
Stock Processing & Studio Workflow
- Oversee incoming stock with our head of product to ensure items are unpacked, categorised, cleaned, and prepared efficiently.
- Coordinate laundry and clothing repair processes with our Product Specialist (a driving licence is helpful).
- Ensure processed items are ready for shops or passed to the content team for e-commerce shoots.
- Upload processed items to the Vintage Threads database (Excel-based).
- Upload and maintain Shopify drafts for our weekly drops.
Online Orders & Customer Experience
- Oversee the fulfilment of online orders to ensure they are processed accurately and on time by the store team.
- Monitor and manage customer service emails and enquiries, maintaining a high standard of communication.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Strong camera and flat lay skills.
- Proven experience using spreadsheets (Excel or similar).
- Experience in customer service and/or administrative roles.
- Passion and strong interest in vintage clothing (you’ll be handling rare and unique items).
- Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Experience using Shopify and Lightspeed is beneficial but not essential (training provided).
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in fashion, retail, or e-commerce operations.
