A leading premium fitness and wellness operator is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Studio Manager to lead the performance, people, and operations of a thriving studio location.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on boutique leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, building high-performing teams, and driving commercial success. The successful candidate will take full ownership of studio performance, culture, operational excellence, and member satisfaction while acting as the visible leader within the business.
The Role...
- Salary: £36-£38k + discretionary bonus
- Working hours: 40 hours including 1 day of the weekend. Shifts start as early as 5:45am so all applicants will need to ensure they are able to get into the City for this time.
- Start date: Immediately!

This role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a successful studio operation while developing a high-performing team and delivering exceptional experiences for members every day. The Studio Manager will be responsible for creating a positive culture, driving commercial performance, and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the business.
Responsibilities
Outstanding Customer Experience:
- Act as the visible leader within the studio, creating a welcoming and engaging environment for members and guests.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience is delivered consistently across every touchpoint.
- Build strong relationships with members and respond proactively to feedback.
- Drive customer satisfaction and member engagement through high service standards.
- Lead by example and set the benchmark for professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail.
- Ensure all customer issues are resolved quickly, calmly, and effectively.
Studio Performance:
- Take full ownership of studio performance, including bookings, occupancy, revenue growth, retail sales, and additional revenue streams.
- Monitor and drive key performance indicators across all areas of the business.
- Analyse performance trends and identify opportunities to improve commercial results.
- Support local marketing initiatives, partnerships, events, and community engagement activities.
- Ensure studio targets are achieved through effective planning, execution, and team leadership.

Lead & Develop the Team:
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing studio team.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivated team culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching conversations, and succession planning activities.
- Lead team engagement initiatives and maintain high levels of accountability and performance.
- Manage employee relations matters professionally and fairly.
- Provide visible leadership during key trading periods and operationally demanding shifts.
Operational Excellence:
- Take ownership of all studio operations, ensuring the facility operates efficiently and effectively at all times.
- Manage staffing rotas, labour scheduling, and payroll accuracy.
- Oversee stock management, inventory control, and cost management processes.
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures, compliance requirements, and operational standards are maintained.
- Monitor cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards throughout the studio.
- Resolve operational challenges quickly to minimise disruption to members and the wider business.
Finances + Commercials:
- Take ownership of studio profit and loss performance.
- Manage labour costs, scheduling, productivity, and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure effective stock control and cost management practices are consistently followed.
- Support revenue growth while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve studio profitability and operational performance.
The Person
The successful candidate will have proven leadership experience within a customer-focused environment, ideally within fitness, wellness, hospitality, leisure, or retail. They will be a commercially minded people leader who enjoys being present on the studio floor and leading by example. They will demonstrate:

Working Pattern:
This is a highly operational leadership role, with approximately 80% of time spent actively supporting the studio floor and team, and 20% focused on administration, planning, and people management.
Typical shifts may include early shifts (5:45am–3:30pm), late shifts (12:00pm–9:15pm), and mid shifts (10:00am–6:30pm). Weekend working will be required on a rotational basis, with shifts typically falling between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
